Raising Legacies is dedicated to helping parents recognize where they are in their parenting journey, where they want to be, and helping them develop the tools they need to pass on to their children to build a legacy. We strive to connect with educators and parents who are struggling with connecting with their own cultures and others and how to facilitate these conversations with children.

Hi, I’m Sara Hall!


I'm a mom of two incredible young men, an educator, and a lifelong learner. I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge as I learn along the way. My journey has been messy, challenging, amazing, and rewarding all at once. I'm excited to share it all with you!

As a biracial woman, I find myself looking for ways to connect with two different worlds. Growing up, I felt shame and confusion, lacking confidence, because I was different. Even though I was surrounded by people of color, there was no one like me outside of my family.

Now, raising mixed-race children, it's even more important to me that I find ways to celebrate who we are, connecting with our own culture, and teaching my children to celebrate and appreciate others.
